Yakon the Sanctuary (聖域のヤコン, Seiiki no Yakon), is a dwarf swordsman who bears the world's largest collection of enchanted swords. After his adoptive father, the real Toroa, is killed by Alus the Star Runner, the young dwarf adopts his father's name Toroa the Awful (おぞましきトロア, Ozomashiki Toroa) and sets out to seek revenge and reclaim the Luminous Blade that Alus stole from him.

While possessing the abilities of the former, a horror story incarnate, he commanded far more physical strength. He held a myriad of enchanted swords, gathered over the entirety of a long age. He went beyond his natural ego and was capable of controlling the inner essence of every enchanted sword. A god of death, revived from the deep pits of the underworld, collecting the cursed fates of others.

Personality[]
Yakon is a man of the countryside. He is artless, good-natured, and slightly inarticulate (according to Kuuro). He is also honest, gentle, polite, brave, and selfless. Thanks to his personality, he was able to quickly develop friendships with Mizial, Kuuro, and Cuneigh, forming his own group of friends, though initially Mizial was simply attracted by Yakon's coolness.
He admires his father's cause of collecting enchanted swords to prevent them from bringing more conflicts, though he is aware that his father's method was too extreme. Yakon's attempt to imitate Toroa's legend as a bloodthirsty and merciless monster ultimately fails as it conflicts with his nature as a simple countryside man who dislikes killing.
Because of his identity crisis, he can not find much value of his own, thinking of himself as both an imposter who can only borrow someone else's ideal and a disappointment who can not carry on his father's legacy.

As a Dwarf, Yakon naturally possessed physical abilities surpassing the average Minian.
- Peak Physical Abilities: Yakon spent most of his life being trained by his father, the original Toroa the Awful, in swordsmanship in order to be capable of handling his collection of Cursed Swords. As such, Yakon spent most of his life developing his body to be able to handle the strain of using many diverse types of weapons, displaying immense physical strength, speed, stamina, endurance and skill.
- Weapon Proficiency:Due to years of training to use his father’s collection of cursed swords/weapons, Yakon is highly skilled in their usage. With him having been praised by his father to already have the necessary physical skills and attributes to inherit his weapons. With Yakon displaying his mastery of them by being able to easily alternate between each of his weapons and instantly adjust himself to make immediate use of each weapon in combat against multiple opponents and in any situation.
- Enchanted Swords Mastery:Due to being trained in the use of enchanted swords for most of his life and developing a powerful affinity for them, Yakon has immense skill in handling such weapons. As showcased where Yakon could already use and mastered the special techniques of each of the enchanted weapons of his father’s collection. Later, as displayed when he got his hands on the Charijisuya the Blasting Blade for the first time, Yakon showcased to be able to immediately get a grasp on the unique powers and abilities of Enchanted Swords and create entirely new special techniques that maximizes the use of their special powers to the fullest despite never having wielded the before.
